History
Black People White People was first rehearsed by Tally Hall during a rehearsal period for Good & Evil in 2009 at Danbro Studios.[1] A YouTube clip only features the first verse up to the first "What the fuck?", but may have more to it that was cut out. At some point Joe also recorded a solo demo and later uploaded it to YouTube.[2] The demo is a bit longer than the Tally Hall rehearsal and has vocals that are pitched up and down against a simple synth, bass, and drum backing track. Each "What the fuck" in this demo is extremely pitched up, similarly to what was done for the final song.

The song samples 'The Little Ships' by Jean-Jacques Perrey, 'L’École Buissonnière' by Jean Constantin, and 'Clarão da Lua' by Gerd,[3] which, in turn, samples a track of the same name by Nazaré Pereira.[4]
