Videojuegos Volume 1 is the first of the two videogame-rock-cover albums created by Bora Karaca under his band's name, Cojum Dip.[1] Both the albums were released on the same day, the other being Videojuegos Volume 2, and making up the only two other releases Cojum Dip has officially made, appearing two years before the band's self-titled Cojum Dip (Album).
Production
On the bandcamp page for the album, Bora states:
"Save for the drum embellishments as the sections repeat, I tried to go for authentic guitar reproduction of the 3 monophonic synth tracks to which the Mega Man games were limited. No guitar effects were used besides distortion.
That includes delay effects that were faked with the harmony doubling the melody, played a split second later. Or chorus effects by intentionally whacking the second guitar out of tune. Or "toms" played by the bass."[1]
