Biography
Bernie J. Michael wrote an epic biography in 2008 for Tally Hall.[1]
It was so in depth and obscure, many people believed Bernie was a made up person. That was, until he showed up at the final show of the 2011 Good & Evil Tour. It was there that the elusive Bernie. J. Michael surprised everyone with his presence, bearing gifts in hand, and generally providing a cheerful attitude towards everyone he came in contact with.
Not much is known about Mr. Michael. He went to the University of Michigan with the rest of Tally Hall and was childhood friends with most of them. In 1996, Joe and Bernie would make a film named Frozen Tentacles and the Orchid-Covered Gravestone and play it at Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum to a mixed response, according to Bernie.
Later on he would become pen pals with Andrew, meeting with him in New Jersey on multiple occasions. In 2008 he was a member of The Royal Lions, however it is unknown what exactly they were or if they are still active. Bernie has done DJ sets at least once with Ross, in July of 2012.[2]
Frozen Tentacles and the Orchid-Covered Gravestone
Not much is known about the film besides what was in the Tally Hall 2008 bio itself. Here's an excerpt regarding the films contents, it was made around the time that Joe Hawley was twelve:
In the film, I play a psychotic scientist who can become invisible or mutate into an Antarctic octopus at will. We shot the bulk of the film in graveyards. I drove a submarine made of cardboard, blue paint, and a telescope around cemeteries looking for “the graves” of old archenemies that I had killed– only to resurrect them and kill them again. We screened the film in Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum. It received mixed reviews.
