Ryan Brady was a musician and Vice President of Marketing at Atlantic Records, Tally Hall's former label.[2] Brady was a friend of many of the band members and would contribute a lot to their solo work.

Biography

A Chicago-native, Ryan was a graduate of Wheeling High School (2004) and Northwestern University Class of 2008. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor/certificate in music technology and sound design. In addition, he served as board member of the Northwestern Sound Arts and Industries Advisory Board.

Ryan was an accomplished musician playing in several bands and venues in the Chicagoland area.

Following his graduation from Northwestern University, Ryan was hired as a digital marketing coordinator at Atlantic Records. Over the next decade, he rose through the label ranks and pioneered Atlantic’s first proper Artist Development Department. In April 2019, he became Vice President of Marketing at Atlantic Records.[3]

Work with Tally Hall Members

Brady co-produced Nowhere else with Andrew Horowitz in 2012,[4] recorded vocals, contributed electric bass, backing vocals, and Moog synthesizers to Hawaii: Part II, wrote We Are In Space for Joe Hawley Joe Hawley, and performed in Abject Joy with Ross Federman.

Death

On November 26th 2020, Brady would pass away as a result of a automobile accident.[5][3]

The last (seventh) page of the booklet included in the 2021 re-release of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum says "In loving memory of Ryan Brady, whose continued support for Tally Hall was instrumental to the success of this reissue" at the bottom.[6]
