Lemons and Pears stylised as (lemons and pears) is a song by edu, written by Andrew Horowitz.

It was originally written for Toy Orchestra, a side project/affiliate band of Tally Hall during their time at the University of Michigan. It would later make its way to Andrew's album sketches, released under the moniker edu.

A re-mixed and remastered version of Lemons and Pears was released as a single to streaming services on the 19th of June 2019, ahead of the release of sketches 3d.

Recording

Andrew mentioned in an interview with Hidden In The Sand that the gunshots weren't always planned when the song was written, but were added as a new idea during the recording process.

Trivia

• Despite the 'Toy Orchestra' version in the Sketches 3D album missing the first verse, the version upload to the Toy Orchestra's SoundClick page includes it. Why it was removed is unknown.
• The version seen in MISFORTUNE does something similar, cutting out the first half of the track and the second half of the third verse, vastly shortening it.
