Welcome to Now was a website ran by Tally Hall from 2005 to 2007, which site contained cryptic text and testimonies from some friends of the band, including Ricky Lax.[1] Its supporters supposedly included "7 former presidents, the Pope, 23 Senators, 154 Pulitzer Prize winners, 19 Olympians, [and] thousands of individuals".[2]

The site also hosted a blog that gave living suggestions[3], including what to eat, what to do, and where to live.[4]

To the general outsider, and even to some of Tally Hall's audience, the site appears cult-like in nature, however the site was mainly made to stir up interest around the band with what some would call a primitive alternative reality game (abbreviated as ARG).[5] In 2008, Coz Baldwin confirmed that it was, indeed, an elaborate hoax.[6]

Welcome to Now was not the only site part of this ARG however, as there were many other sites and social media accounts created for the project. These have sadly been lost to time with only forum mentions of them ever existing.

Advertisements for Welcome To Now appear in Tally Hall's Internet Show. In the South By Southwest 2007 episode of Tally Hall's Internet show, Andrew Horowitz can be seen standing on a chair, talking through a megaphone, and wearing a sandwich board with the words 'Welcome To Now' and a link to the website written on it. Andrew was then stopped by police for using amplified sound without a permit.[7]
