Spring And A Storm was first demoed sometime in 2004 with Mr. [[Ryan Scott]]. This demo includes mostly nonsense lyrics, but the arrangement is mostly there. This demo would be released on [[Admittedly Incomplete Demos]]. Joe would flesh out the lyrics and re-record it by himself later that year, releasing it on Broadjam and Indie911 not soon after.<ref>[https://web.archive.org/web/20041028031153/http://www.broadjam.com:80/artists/artist_playlist.asp?artistID=14625 Tally Hall songs on Broadjam, October 24th, 2004 archive.]</ref> Much of the lyrics and instrumentation we know is there but the bridge lyrics are very different. Joe would later state in a 2005 chatlog that he changed the bridge because it was "a bit too specific".
