The lyrics to this song seem to revolve around a character named John, who is brought to the speaker against his will. The speaker also touches upon the theme of identity, referring to the difference in appearance between John and his parents. The song seems to question the motivations behind people’s actions and criticize the idea that people are motivated by flashy colors and packaged deals.
