2002 sucked. like it really sucked man. like you couldnt go 2 seconds without the random guy next to you being like "HEY MAN DID YOU KNOW MUSIC SALES ARE DOWN 8% COMPARED TO LAST YEAR" and then he'll keep doing it until he is forcibly removed from the airplane.
and then out came me and everything got better. like we found the cure to the common cold kind of better and we thought it was so funny and obvious that we didn't bother to document it. yeah that was my bad, just being a funny guy and all.

Discovering Tally Hall
so you know how when you're outside in the woods and you look at this big rock and you think to yourself "man i really want to turn over that rock" and then you do it and theres like bugs underneath? yeah so i discovered this band in middle school but became a bigger fan in high school and college.
i think the very first song i ever heard from the band might've either been Turn The Lights Off or Hidden In The Sand but it was likely the former. the tune was catchy but i didn't take it very seriously and just shelved it in my mind for later.
later on more of the band's (and their members') songs kept popping up in random conversations i'd have with online friends and in high school i had added & to my regular playlist but didn't give anything else a listen. by the time college hit i decided to finally look into tally hall as a band for the first time; by listening to the early version of The Mind Electric, Inside The Mind of Simon. i was actually kind of floored just how much evolution and history were behind a lot of their discography and coming from a crowd that enjoys lost media/unused media, that kind of served as the gateway to me really sitting down with their albums and other stuff. i'm glad i did.
my favourite song is I'm Gonna Win as of November 13th 2022 7:56PM.
