Sonic Lunch is a series of free concerts that happen every summer in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The event is sponsored by Ann Arbor's 107one FM, which plays host to the radio programme Tree Town Sound.
Members of Tally Hall have performed at Sonic Lunch over the course of the years but Tally Hall as a band have never played Sonic Lunch.

In 2016 Joe Hawley played a solo set, supporting JR JR.
On July 30th 2021, Ross Federman was the opening DJ at a community dance party hosted by Sonic Lunch called 'Sonic Disco'. He played Motown, Detroit Soul and classics on a reel-to-reel machine.[1][2] A concert review of this show was posted to Hidden In The Sand.[3]
On July 25th 2019 Andrew Horowitz (Billed as 'Andrew Horowitz of Tally Hall') played a solo set supporting Guster.[4][5][6] Andrew was joined by special guests
Andrew played a solo set on August 22nd 2024, supporting Antwaun Stanley.[7] He was joined on stage by Illicit Ghost, Bora Karaca, and Ross Federman.[8]
Sonic Lunch Social Media

The Sonic Lunch social media pages have a tendency to bait the Tally Hall fan community by teasing implications that Tally Hall may be performing at Sonic Lunch.
In 2021 they tweeted that "Tally Hall is not performing tonight at #SonicDisco. Just like this isn't there[sic] 3rd album cover.[9]
In February of 2022 the account addressed the teasing that they do and said "we don't consider it teasing."[10]
In June they posted lyrics to Ruler of Everything[11]
In September the account made a post that referenced Rob Cantor's song Flamingo.[12]
Later in the same month the account replied to a post Rob made with a winking gif.[13]
Rob Cantor did not play Sonic Lunch that year, and to date, has never played Sonic Lunch.
In 2023 they posted a video of a gameshow style spinning wheel, with every segment except 1 being Tally Hall, captioned "Guess who will be at #SonicLunch this summer?"[14]
To date Tally Hall as a band have never played Sonic Lunch.
